Tutankhamun, often called King Tut, was a young pharaoh of ancient Egypt’s 18th dynasty. He became king at around age 9 and ruled for about 10 years. Though his reign was short, he is famous for his richly preserved tomb, discovered in 1922, which revealed incredible treasures and insights into ancient Egyptian life and burial practices.
