Ma’at was the ancient Egyptian goddess of truth, justice, balance, and cosmic harmony. She maintained the order of the universe and was central to both daily life and the afterlife. Depicted with an ostrich feather on her head, this feather was used in the “weighing of the heart” ceremony to judge souls after death. Ma’at also represented moral integrity and fairness, guiding pharaohs and common people alike.
